These terms govern your use of Vidya's website and apps. By creating an account or joining a class you agree to them. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.
1. Accounts
- Give accurate information and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- One person per account — accounts may not be shared or sold.
- We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk.
2. Students and parents
- Enrolment gives you a seat in a specific batch for its stated duration, plus access to its recordings and materials.
- Class times are shown in Indian Standard Time. Teachers may occasionally reschedule; you will be notified.
- Course materials are for your personal learning only and may not be redistributed.
3. Teachers
- You must complete verification before teaching, and keep your documents current and genuine.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your course content and for delivering the classes you schedule.
- Vidya retains a platform fee on paid enrolments as shown in your earnings dashboard. Payouts are made to the UPI ID on your profile after you request them.
- You may not take students off the platform for paid classes arranged through Vidya.
4. Payments and refunds
- Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Payments are processed by our payment partner. A receipt is available in your Payments page.
- If a teacher cancels a batch, students who paid are refunded automatically to the original payment method.
- Other refund requests are considered case by case; contact support with your receipt number.
- Coupons are subject to their stated limits and validity and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Classroom conduct
Be respectful. Harassment, hate speech, sharing inappropriate content, recording or sharing classes outside Vidya, and impersonation are not allowed. Teachers must keep all communication with students on the platform.
6. AI tutor
The AI tutor is a study aid. Its answers can be incomplete or wrong — verify important information with your textbook or teacher. Do not use it to cheat in tests or submit its output as your own graded work. Daily usage limits apply.
7. Content and intellectual property
Teachers keep ownership of the courses they create and grant Vidya a licence to host and deliver them to enrolled students. The Vidya name, design and software belong to us. Report content you believe infringes your rights and we will review it promptly.
8. Liability
We work hard to keep Vidya available and secure but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or specific academic results. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the batch concerned.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts at the operator's registered location have jurisdiction.
